JUICER Launches C3PO

3rd Party Ordering companies (3PO) like DoorDash and Uber Eats are requiring that restaurants maintain prices on their apps that are no greater than 20% above the restaurant's own website (1PO). JUICER is proud to announce our new C3PO tool "Compliance with 3rd Party Ordering" which automatically keeps restaurant website pricing in compliance.

February 24, 2023 San Francisco, CA - We are learning everyday here at JUICER, from customers, potential customers, technology partners, industry experts and consumers. Restaurants are dealing with a lot right now and we aim to simplify their lives in any way we can. We're starting with taking a smarter, data-driven approach to pricing on digital menus. As we learn more about restaurants' challenges related to pricing, we are committed to providing solutions and resources that make restaurants' lives easier.

In recent weeks, we have been hearing from concerned restaurants about communications they are receiving from the 3rd Party Ordering (3PO) companies like DoorDash and Uber Eats. These notices inform the restaurant that their pricing on the 3PO app is out of compliance. Restaurants are required to keep their menu prices on 3PO channels no more than 20% greater than what they charge on their own website.

As many restaurants have been increasing prices to battle rising cost, it can be challenging to ensure compliance, particularly with the current labor crisis, leaving restaurants with barely the staff they need to operate.

Therefore, JUICER is launching "C3PO", or our "Compliance with 3rd Party Ordering" tool. This means that JUICER will ensure that your prices on your direct 1PO channel is always in compliance with the 3PO policies. Now that restaurants are implementing varying levels of dynamic pricing, it is even more important to use technology to ensure compliance.

DoorDash and Uber Eats are powerful marketplaces that restaurants can use to reach a much broader audience than they would normally be able to reach on their own. These marketplaces will soon be powerful marketing channels as well. Restaurants shouldn't risk being penalized, reducing their exposure and order volumes from the 3PO companies, but they also should not leave money on the table unnecessarily by not optimizing their digital menus by product and by channel.
